Matthew 24 RCW version. Original order

Matthew 24  RCW Translation,   2024.03.27 2nd ed.

  1. Jesus came out and left the Temple. His disciples approached Him to point out the buildings of the Temple.
  2. Jesus responded, “Do you not see all these things? I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another, everything will be thrown down.”
  3. Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives and His disciples came to Him, and asked, “Tell us when these things will take place, and what will be the sign of Your arrival and the conclusion of the eon?”
  4. Jesus answered them, “Be alert! Let no one deceive you!
  5. “Many will come in My name, saying ‘I am the Messiah’ and many will be deceived.
  6. “You will soon hear of wars and rumors of wars. See to it that you are not alarmed. It is necessary for all these things to happen, but the conclusion is later.
  7. “Race will be aroused against race, and nation against nation. There will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places,
  8. “All these things are just the beginning of childbirth contractions.
  9. “They will betray you to intense distress, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all races because of My name.
  10. “Many will be trapped, and will betray each other, and will hate each other.
  11. “And many fake prophets will arise and they will deceive many.
  12. “And because lawlessness will be multiplied, many will lose the ability to love.
  13. “But the one who endures to the conclusion will be rescued.
  14. “This gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed to the whole inhabited earth as a witness to all races, then the conclusion will come.
  15. “When you see the Abomination of the Desolation which had stood in the Holy Place as described in writing by Daniel the prophet (let the reader perceive this reference),
  16. “Let those in Judea flee to the mountains.
    17. “The one on the roof must not take time to retrieve anything from his house.
  17. “The one in the field must not go back to get his clothes.
  18. “Woe to those who are pregnant, and those who are nursing infants in those days.
  19. “Pray that your escape does not take place in winter or on a Sabbath.
  20. “There will be very intense affliction, worse than any that has ever occurred since the Creation, and it will not be surpassed in the future.
  21. “Wherever the carcass is, the eagles will be gathered.
  22. “If those days had not been cut short, no flesh would have survived. But, for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be limited.
  23. “If anyone says, ‘Look! Here is the Messiah!’ Do not believe it.
  24. “For fake Messiahs and fake prophets will rise up, and they will perform great signs and miracles so that they might possibly deceive even the chosen ones.
  25. “Look! I have told you all this before it happens.
  26. “If they ever say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness’, do not go out to them. Or, ‘Look! He is in the storage rooms’, do not believe it.
  27. “Like lightning coming from the east and crossing over to the west, the Son of Man will arrive.
  28. “Immediately after the intense affliction of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will give no moonbeams and the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
  29. “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the families of the earth will grieve. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with much power and glory.
  30. “He will send His angels with a loud trumpet blast and they will assemble His chosen ones from the four directions of the skies to the extreme end.
  31. “Now, learn from the parable of the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender, and its leaves sprout, you know that summer is near.
  32. “So, when you see all these things, you can know that He is almost here, right at the door.
  33. “I tell you the truth. This present generation will not pass away until all these things will happen.
  34. “The sky and the land will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
  35. “Concerning that day and hour, no one is aware yet. Not even the angels of heavens. Only My Father knows.
  36. “The days of the arrival of the Son of Man will be like the days of Noah.
  37. “In the days before the deluge, they were eating and drinking and marrying, and arranging marriages, until the day Noah entered the ark.
  38. “They did not know until the flood came and took them all away. It will be like this when the Son of Man arrives.
  39. “Two will be in the field, one will be gathered and one left behind.
  40. “Two will be grinding on the millstone, one will be gathered and one left behind.
  41. “Be alert! For you cannot know when your Lord will arrive.
  42. “But you must know this, if the homeowner knew what time of night the thief was coming, he would have been watching and not allowed his house to be broken into.
  43. “So, you also must always be ready. The Son of Man will come in such an hour when you suppose He will not.
  44. “So, who is the prudent and faithful servant, who has been given authority over the master’s household, to provide nourishment as needed?
  45. “Blessed is that servant found doing his job well when the master returns.
  46. “I am telling you the truth: the master will give that servant authority over all the master possesses.
  47. “But if the evil servant says in his heart, my master has delayed his return,
  48. “And he has begun to abuse his fellow servants, and spends his time eating and drinking with the alcoholics,
  49. “The master of that servant will come when he is not looking out for him, at an hour when he is unaware.
  50. “And the master will cut the servant in two, and he will be assigned the doom of the hypocrites, with much crying and teeth grinding.
